We are looking for a kind, reliable and compassionate Bank Care Assistant to join our team at Whitgift House.

About the role

As a Bank Care Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of person-centred care and support for residents with their daily living needs, promoting dignity, comfort, and independence.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • To provide service users with support and assistance as they accomplish activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, dressing and mobility.
  • To ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing.
  • To ensure care plans and other information about how to support service users are followed.
  • To be responsible for informing the Team Leader (Nursing) of any changes in the needs of service users.
  • To support service users with Chronic or Acute conditions.

About You

  • Previous experience working within a care home is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Willingness to complete the care certificate within 12 weeks period.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to follow care plans accurately and sensitively.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as and when required.
