Are you a Health Care Assistant and interested in joining a team that is committed to providing outstanding care to older people?

Would you like to join one of Croydon’s oldest care charities with community at its heart?

We are looking for Health Care Assistants to join our warm and friendly team at Whitgift House, a 36-bed nursing home in south Croydon. Currently rated as 'good', our goal is to achieve ‘outstanding’ by the CQC.

With dignity always in mind, you will be responsible for providing exceptional person-centred care to residents, many of whom are receiving end of life care.

We are proud to be part of a 425-year-old education and care charity, the John Whitgift Foundation. Through our care homes and services at Whitgift Care, our mission is to give older people a true sense of community, comfort, and joy in later life.

We provide our staff with an excellent benefits package, which includes up to 10% employer contribution into our pension scheme and a whole range of health and wellbeing benefits.

Are you ready to jump aboard and contribute to the impressive legacy this Foundation is leaving?

So if you are a Health Care Assistant looking for a change and would like to join a fabulous group, then please give us a call.

Our three Homes: The Whitgift Almshouses, Whitgift House and Wilhelmina House, are happy, thriving and secure communities where staff are on hand 24 hours a day to provide the highest standards of care. Within Whitgift Care, we like to call ourselves a family where our core values of respect, dignity and privacy are our priority.

We are proud to be part of the John Whitgift Foundation, a local charity in Croydon, whose mission is to provide education for the young and care for the elderly since its establishment by our Founder, Archbishop John Whitgift, in 1596.

Our passion for care also extends to the wider local community through our Carers’ Information Service that provides invaluable information, support and advice to an estimated 30,000 carers in Croydon.

All our staff take part in a structured training programme which is tailored to each individual and is geared to help them to offer the high standards of care that are expected in a Whitgift Care home.

Our internal training is run by our dedicated Training Coordinator who ensures that our staff are trained in mandatory subjects. These include:
